KiddoBank mission is to boost cryptocurrency adoption among kids by providing them with a cryptocurrency app directed solely towards them. KiddoBank is a Cryptocurrency that prepares kids for the financial future.
Kids nowadays are introduced to money at ages 6 and above either through education or by offering them allowances and on average that is in the amount of $10–20. For many of those kids they decide to save some of it by themselves rather than being guided by parents. Yet, parents find it hard to manage this through a simple tool that establish these habits and boost financial knowledge among our future generation. So there is the need for digital piggy bank.

But why has it to be a crypto piggy bank? So despite the fact that there are few available digital pocket money solutions, we have to face it that the next generation is already somehow aware digital money. Kids nowadays are well acquainted with plastic cards and online transactions, yet the future of money will include cryptocurrency as a major stream.

On the other side, cryptocurrency lacks adoption, especially among kids and youth, reasons behind that go back to the need of understanding the technology, the impression certain parents have about cryptocurrency of being not safe medium and the failure of cryptocurrencies foundations to address such an important segment.

kids earn crypto tokens by completing tasks, teach kids the value of money by letting them setting their goals and wishes and then redeem collected funds.

We choose EOS Blockchain to offer to protect kids and allow parental control, parents are in control of owner private keys which allow more control of kids account and provide a safe retrieval of lost kids accounts active keys which can be easily replaced by parents.

Being hosted on EOS, KiddoBank allows sending any small amount of money without worrying about transaction cost. It is at zero fee.

What is next for KiddoBank?

KiddoBank now has been launched in beta version with two mobile apps one for parents and one for kids it is now available on Google Play store for testing. The app now runs on the EOS Jungle Testnet so feel free to use and provide your feedback.

In the pipeline more features are thought of to make the app a more fun and educational expereince. A quiz feature is on top of the list where parents can select from predefined quizzes or build their own to challenge the kids and reward them for nailing the questions.

The registration process especially in the kid app is also targeted to improved and make it smooth. Currently the app gives the parent the possibility to display a QR code for the kid crypto account these information can be scanned by any QR reader and then copy it to the import account page in the kid app. The next release will include a QR reader in the kid app to make it as simple as scanning a QR code to get the kid app imported.

History of tranactions is not supported in the current version but will be added on both the parent and the kid apps. Finally, other rewarding options will be introduced that will be may be more valuable to the kid.
