Crypto for the Average: EOS could affect the overall market

in eos •  7 years ago

For those of you that have been active in the crypto-world since ~ April 2017 you might remember:

  • way back when-- ETH was around $15. and the overall market was ~20 billion (more or less)
  • Ethereum started to get mentioned more and more on mainstream t.v.
  • people began getting excited, and the crypto retail craze hit and peaked in December.

(((yes,...a lot more happened, ...I just summed up))

What I'm hoping is:

  • EOS starts off with hardly any problems (I'm pretty confident it will)
*EOS Dapps will start off -- airdrops, etc ...this will...
  • lead to EOS being mentioned a lot on t.v.

combine the news of a new, better version of Ethereum (some say no,..but just bare with me) with easier, faster, and
cheaper transactions and the easier availability of crypto to the general public (i.e. Robinhood) and we could see another run back into crypto by a lot more people.

A recent survey stated concerning why 92% of US citizens don't own crypto from a small poll (~2,000 random people).

"""As for the reasons people didn’t invest in cryptocurrency, 35.02% fear that the risk is too high, 27.04% find it too difficult to understand, 17.97% say it’s a scam, 16.12% are waiting for the “bubble” to burst, 11.40% find it too difficult to use, and lastly 5.75% think that there are too many fees. Just 40.01% say they are not interested or they think there’s no need for them"""

So, once people start seeing that it's not a scam (lets say XRP starts getting used a lot more real soon), ....and... we start seeing even more exchanges = lower fees due to competitiveness,...and = more coins available,...and once more legitimate companies start emerging (on EOS, etc),..... I don't see why we couldn't see the market start going back up significantly in 3-4 months. I'm in it for the long haul regardless.

And no: I don't think EOS will hit 1000 by the end of the year. I give it a 5% chance.

Good luck. Don't get too greedy.

Hmm... see that?! The overall market shot up after EOS hit 150 million votes.
