Recently i've reported about the new EDNA website, which lot's of valuable information about the project. That and some personal discussion with their founder Greg, helped to put together an article how this project can get from big promise to life:
https://trybe.one/edna-getting-your-dna-on-chain-a-walk-through/
This article addresse four major barriers, that need to be solved in order for EDNA to become interessting for users:
- Costs for DNA sequencing
- Privacy needs to be ensured
- Security of DNA on-chain
- Critical database size to generate revenue
Long story short, i can well imagine, that EDNA will be successful
