Is WhaleEx the Biggest New Exchange on the Block?
On November 18, EOS-based decentralized exchange WhaleEx generated over 14 million EOS, equivalent of 64.5 million USD, in trading volume over a 12-hour period. WhaleEx is now the #1 Dapp in terms of daily transaction volume, shattering previous record of 13.8 million EOS set by Betdice on Oct 21st. EOSIO Version 1.5.0-rc1: Release Candidate for Multithreaded Signature Verification, A State History Plugin, and Blacklist Security Enhancements.
“Going forward, new versions of EOSIO and EOSIO.CDT will be marked as ‘Release Candidates’ (-rc) when ready for first compiled release to allow for more thorough testing and documentation. After a few cycles of feedback, once documentation is completed, the release will be promoted to ‘stable’. In case of V1.5.0-rc1, it will be renamed to V1.5.0 and merged into master on the Github repository.”

CryptoFinance Conference and EOS BP Summit
Four members of the team at EOS Detroit flew to Oslo, Norway to attend CryptoFinance Conference and BP Summit. CEO of EOS Detroit Rob “Robrigo” Konsdorf was on the panel discussing EOS sister chains, which are alternative forks of the EOSIO reference implementation such as Worbli and Telos. We expect a large influx of new sidechain projects to come this year so stay tuned. Watch the panel here.
