EOS Nation - Technology Update

The primary focus of EOS Nation has always been around community engagement & education. During this journey we’ve been involved in many EOS related projects with our technology partners and we would like to list a few in this article.

Scholar Testnet

This is a very active EOS Testnet that has been around for almost a month now, we've got close to 200 members in the Telegram chat and all the code & scripts are open source hosted on GitHub.

On this Testnet we practice the BIOS Boot process using Shell scripts and we issued EOS tokens to developer accounts & block producers that allows them to publish their own EOS smart contracts.

Voting Simulation

Eosio.SG has successfully simulated the voting process, the process and result are as shown. A new web ui for simulating voting system will be ready this week. All are welcomed to join to test the update_elected_producer by then join their Telegram channel.

Testnet Tools

Eosio.SG was the first Testnet to have an automated onboarding process, the initial process was quite difficult to join for new block producer since the onboarding steps were done manually. Recently Eosio.SG has released their Testnet tools on GitHub which includes their web interface & all their onboarding shell scripts.

EOS Nation is looking forward to see more great tools being developed by Eosio.SG.

Block Explorer

Recently folks at EOSeco have published a Block Explorer for the EOS Scholar Testnet, which shows each transaction that is happening on the EOS blockchain.

Jungle Testnet

Jungle Testnet is another very active EOS Testnet with great support by the folks at Crypto Lions who organize and maintain the network on a daily basis.

SSL has arrived for EOS

SSL has finally landed for EOS and EOS Rio has created an amazing guide on how to setup a secure HTTPS API using the built-in EOS http_plugin.
