"Continuing my visual experimentations with the EOS logo. I added 3 spheres represented as the different stakeholders in a blockchain : Operators, Developpers, Parties as presented in the document "EOS : an Introduction" by Ian Grigg"

Link : http://iang.org/papers/EOS_An_Introduction.pdf

I did not model the shape but I created the shell around it myself, I downloaded the solid shape from here : https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2503890

This shape is inspiring new things for the future, also mystery as we still don't really know how the blockchain technology is going to impact our world, we just begin to see its implications.

Story of this shape

The Chestahedron is the first heptahedron of this configuration in the history of geometry. This sculpture has 7 surfaces (consisting of 4 triangles and 3 quadrilaterals), 7 points and 12 edges. If this heptahedron is rotated around the vertical axis, it forms a bell-like external surface of a certain profile: a cone at the top connected to a hyperbolic at the bottom. Other type heptahedra, or less-faced polyhedra do not provide a bell-type figure. For this reason it is supposed that the Chestahedron in rotation is the first geometrical bell shape form ever found and therefore it is the first time the mystery behind the geometry of the bell has been solved in the history of bell making. It has been found in years of research that this geometry is the basis of the left ventricle of the human heart. The midway point between the idea of the human heart and the manifestation of the human heart. Naming the Chestahedron came from the heart being the dominant organ in the chest."*

Very cool. It gives me like a Mars Pathfinder feeling :)

ahah excellent thanks :)

This is awesome! Beautiful work!

Thank you Mrs Lauren !

Is this a contest entry? If not, it should be!

Lol

Nice I saw the contest but they say "The rights to ownership of entries that win prizes will pass to me." I can't give rights on my images like this even if the prize is good. I did several other images like this though did not posted. Followed ! Cheers :)

If you won they would essentially be buying the rights. Sounded like a good deal to me! :)

Thanks, appreciated that you mentioned the contest to me and I think it's a very cool idea. But as said in the description @benjojo specifically says that the winner is donating the entire copyrights, without actually saying for what the image will be used. I posted a comment to him giving my opinion about that. He answered that there is nothing weird about selling art, which I completely agree with. But it is not because you buy an artist piece of art, that it gives you the rights to print and sell posters of it for exemple. To me there is a major difference between buying an image for a specific use and buying the entire copyrights of an image. The difference is maybe subtle to people and maybe I am biased by my profession, but that is the way I feel it. It is also a critical point and one of the main reasons it became more and more difficult for professional photographers to survive recently. Clients don't consider rights of use anymore, they think that hiring a photographer is giving them no limits about using the images produced during the shooting. That is an interesting subject to see how the blockchain technology is going to help artists about that though.

love your art.... 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

aww thanks :)

Awesome

Thanks

good job @cheetah !

Really ? Thanks for this informative post, well inspired

Thanks :)

Ha... Was late sorry for the 'really' seems I was talking for my self... ;) It was for the left ventricle structure,

Great work and a worthy attempt. What software did you use to create this if i may ask?

Thanks, it's done in Vue Ple, it's a 3d nature rendering software. A bit complex tho if you are not used to 3D especially at the beginning. There are gazillions settings, parameters, options, but you can easily find tutorials, it just requires.. patience. :)

I think for now i will it leave for you :) Seems you have spent some time in there, and the results are very cool :)

Oh yeah, can't count hours spent to tweak all settings... it's been years I am playing with these tools, I am not an expert at all but I always liked lighting and rendering scenes in 3d softwares. Thanks for the support :)

I bet you must have a pretty powerful machine for this too :)

well it's more the time you are able to wait when it comes to rendering lol, i have a good laptop but not a big workstation.

Have rendered a thing or two in my life. That takes time! Maybe Golemn Crypto will solve this :)

Absolutely :) GNT !
