Will Steemit and Bitshares Migrate to EOS?

in eos •  7 years ago

Dear @Ned and @Dan and @OfficialFuzzy

I sincerely hope that both Bitshares and Steemit are able to run on the EOS blockchain when it launches.

I have vested interests in all three blockchains, and I do not want to see a free transaction decentralized exchange open on EOS that is not named Bitshares.

I also do not really want to see a Steemit clone, that is not Steemit.

My question is, are there any plans to migrate Steem and Bitshares over to EOS?

Feel free to discuss below. :)

I am also heavily invested in BTS, STEEM and EOS; it seems both natural and mutually beneficial for BTS and STEEM to move onto EOS. EOS gets users/adoption and BTS/STEEM get newest chain tech.

Not sure, i have heard there is some discussion about switching at bitshares, who knows if they are going to follow through. Press.one, which is run by InBlockchain/Li xiao lai, is going to be a content distribution blockchain incubator on EOS. It seems this could be the project that would house steemit or a competitor, at least in early stages. Keep your eye out.

I see. So Press. One hopes to be the or an umbrella with a bunch of publishing projects beneath it...

From a strictly STEEM investor's perspective. Steem is also an umbrella and can have stuff like busy, dtube and zapple beneath it.

Surely there are a lot of things to shake out.

Bitshares will migrate to eos. Read my last post. Regarding steem i haven't seen anything

That's great news. Just to confirm... If / when Bitshares migrates to EOS... will it be a fee free dex?

If so, bitshares will leave Waves in the dust. And take away the only semi effective use case for Ethereum; erc 20 token sales.

No fees on a decentralized exchange = awesome.

No fee on decentralized exchange = spam+price manipulation IMO

Hmmmm interesting point. I wonder what the fix would be for that? (Besides fees... Maybe just extremely low fees?)

Will BitShares still ever need to hire programmers to improve it (or anyone else to do any other work for the company), or will we all be living in a utopia with free energy and robots that take care of us and do our bidding?

You and I just used up all the energy needed to make a trade on the future Bitshares in these two comments. A seller and a buyer. Right?

I understand that eos will have a much wider ability to do exponentially more transactions per second than anything else in the blockchain world currently can. It would make sense that other blockchain applications like BTS would jump on board that platform. Better performance for the user is paramount.

In addition: zero fees for end users.

Um, yes, that is HUGE! And I love the idea of leasing tokens to dApp creators! Makes for some very good reasons to hold eos!

for me, any discussion about eos and it possible configuration and uses are very welcome. it looks like berniesanders and his minions/alter personas are trying to single-handedly crush any discussion on this topic
