HelloEOS: Why are you optimistic about EOS? Like why are you intend to be a BP from the beginning?

EOSYS: We want to see massive adoption of blockchains. For that, we chose EOS and decided to add value to it in various ways. We built eosscan even before ICO started became one of the founding block producers.

Speaking of its advantage, EOS is the most realistic option for corporations that want to develop something on a blockchain. That being said, we agree with EOS' three major benefits. The first is that DApps should be available for free. Unlike Ethereum, which requires users to pay a certain amount of gas fees, we envisioned that EOS would be the more user-friendly option. Second, EOS is incomparably efficient. We don't expect users to wait longer than 30 seconds to proceed. Lastly, EOS seeks to become the Android of the blockchain. Anyone can develop their own chain based on the software, and this is even encouraged. In the future, we will see EOSIO based sister chains, which are all compatible with the original EOS blockchain, offering a plethora of DApps to its users.

HelloEOS: Which one of your work are you most proud of? Why?

EOSYS: Regarding product, NOVA wallet is what we are most proud of right now. NOVA is a UX-focused multi-OS EOS wallet. Now iOS version and Android beta version is out. Wizard Works developed the wallet for token holders who have a hard time learning how to manage an EOS account. If you compare it to other wallets, you'll find out that the team has put a great amount of effort to improve the user experience. EOSYS supports NOVA, and you are all invited!

Also, we are looking forward to launching eoshub, an integrated EOS portal for ordinary token holders. It'll support English/Korean/Chinese. We'll keep you updated with further details!

HelloEOS: How do you think the Asian BPs are different from other BPs?

EOSYS: Asian BPs are not that different basically, but only the language gap between community makes BPs look different. We are learning together how to decrease that existing gap really, but it is not easy. We need decent translators, but not many of us can always have paid, professional translators. In that sense, we have to understand that it might be difficult for some of us to get involved deeply in discussions that happen in different languages.

HelloEOS: Will you talk about your plan for the next phase?

EOSYS: We have recently recreated EOSYS' vision in the three steps as follows. The first step was to help with the launch of the mainnet and the value of EOS by "Vitalizing the EOS Ecosystem as a Founding Block Producer". The second stage is the popularization phase of EOS DApps by "Utilizing the EOS Blockchain as DApp Launchpad", and the third stage is the mass-adoption phase of the EOS blockchain, "Realizing the Vision of EOS". So, EOSYS is going to focus on 'Utilizing' beyond 'Vitalizing' so that meaningful service DApps will be actually available for general use. For that vision, we are working on the DApp studio and eoshub project.

HelloEOS: If you were asked to recommend a BP to HelloMedia, other than EOSYS which one would you like to recommend? Why?

EOSYS: For Korean BPs, we recommend EOSeoul and EOS NodeOne. They have been working together since the launch of the mainnet. EOSeoul has been working hard as a WPS core development team, and EOS NodeOne has been involved with community work such as EOSCC 2018 that was successfully hosted in Korea two month ago.

HelloEOS: Finally, do you want to say anything to the Chinese community? In other words, could you give us a reason to vote for EOSYS?

EOSYS: Dear Chinese community, we have been devoted ourselves since 2017 when we built eosscan. The vision of EOS is what drives us, and we have a clear mission of ours to convey. If you agree with our next mission "Utilizing the EOS Blockchain as DApp Launchpad", there's no reason not to vote for us. We are small but open & transparent team who are all working so hard to make a difference.

Dear DApp teams and block producers, we welcome future opportunities to collaborate. You can always contact us for further discussions through telegram(@appletreehill). Cheers!

(We send special thanks to HelloEOS team for this interview.)

The Contributions of EOSYS

TOKENEXT: A decentralized crowdfunding platform in which EOSYS invests and incubates, it will become a hub of upcoming EOS projects, as well as ICOs.

EOS Knights: EOS Knights is one of the DAPP projects that EOSYS has noticed since its development, and has been providing technical advice, including support for nodes, to assure a reliable service on the EOS mainnet.

We:D: we: D is an abbreviation of 'we are Developers' which will provide various educational contents for developers to easily implement EOS-based DApps.

POLARIS: POLARIS is a sister chain specialized in the DApp ecosystem. EOSYS has been helping with the project as an advisor.
