I wanted to share this well thought out and written introduction to EOS by Ian Grigg. Above all, developing a product with the end user as the starting point is absolutely key. Just talk to your a coworker or someone in the checkout isle at the grocery store. Discuss Bitcoin or Ethereum as a useful product... watch as their eyes glaze over. There is no way to dumb it down enough where it isn't intimidating to the common person.
If you ever watch the show Silicon Valley (which I highly recommend) there is a monumental moment in the show (spoiler alert) where the team releases one of the most revolutionary feats in computer algorithm history to the public. What happens?... it flops... it's too techy. The end user doesn't care about the major advances in its compression abilities.... it's just not user friendly!
I feel as energized as the next person about the cryptocurrency movement, believe me. Recently when I mentioned investing in cryptocurrency to a coworker ( a pretty savvy investor mind you) he all but shut down. Just the simple task of explaining.. "ok how can I buy some?" is utterly painful.
This alone is the barrier that will prevent crypto technology from becoming mainstream. If EOS can deliver on the idea of building a product with the end user in mind and working backwards... well my friends, we will then have THE recipe for success.
The paper does contain some technical information but it is very valuable information. Give it a read.
