In this report I cover the exciting EOS block producer candidates' vote last night at 01: UTC to launch the chain. It has taken a few votes but the block producer community finally reached a unanimous concensus to launch the chain on Saturday, June 9th, 2018 at 13:00 UTC.
I talk about how I became in the EOS project through my presence on the Steemit platform since August 2016 and how Dan Larimer's track record with Bitshares and Steemit has led me to believe that the EOS project has great potential.
I am also attaching links below to the recorded livestream of the vote last night and recommend that people interested in the EOS project take their time to watch the execise that seemed hectic and disorganised but actually connected over 100 block producer candidates from all corners of the earth at the same time.
My conclusion is that the EOS project is in its infancy and that once the chain has been launched and the community has voted on the 21 block producers that we should see a flood of dApp projects launched on the EOS blockchain.

It’s hard to explain to people in everyday life why this is so exciting. A while ago I heard EOS describes as ‘the world’s computer’. At the time I didn’t really get it, but now I’m starting to understand. Once the world starts to see all the dApps appear - they will take notice.
