EOS-Voter - GUI EOS Block Producer Voting Tool & Light Wallet

in eos •  7 years ago  (edited)

@greymass has released an easy to use Graphic User Interface EOS BP voting tool. Their announcement post on Steemit can be found Here.

This is much easier to use and your private keys never leave your machine...this tool has now been vetted by 11 BP candidates and given a "virtual" safety blessing. Still, know your risk.

When using eos-voter, all transactions are signed within the application and your key is never transmitted. If a local wallet password is specified, the application will also save and encrypt your key for future use, using AES-256 encryption.

If you are a...

  • MacOS User: Download either the DMG (eos-voter-***.dmg) or ZIP (eos-voter-***-mac.zip) file.
  • Windows User: Download the EXE (eos-voter-***.exe) file.
  • Linux User: Download either the SNAP (eos-voter-***-_amd64.snap) or DEB (eos-voter-***-_amd64.deb) file

It would have been nice if something like this would have been released by Block.one from the beginning and we would likely be over 15% by now instead of languishing at 8.5%, but voting has picked up in the last 24 hours, so I'm guessing by this weekend we should cross the virtual Rubicon for full EOS network activation. It is nice to see the community stepping up to make things a little easier for mass adoption...maybe the plan all along? Maybe...still frustrating.

I am Lord @matthewwarn and I have Stackitis...but there are worse problems to have in life...like not voting for the best EOS Block Producers.

Why are the whales not voting? They have more than enough EOS to reach 15%. They should be fairly knowledgeable if they were willing to bet that amount of cash on an unproven system...

I look forward to seeing how EOS is developed. Thanks for sharing.

Most of the whale wallets are exchanges and I'm guessing they want to avoid conflict of interest issues, but I don't know. Bitfinex is currently asking its account owners for permission to vote their stakes so they alone could push it over.

This wallet is the best EOS-voter I found as well...
Let's see if the rest of the holders participate soon!

This is a good tool. I used it to vote.

I ended up using it as well...it works nicely and has wallet features as well so its nice.
