Nice find. I think they will atleast double or triple their investment within a year, they might sell their position to get their initial investment back and hold on to the rest. I just get anxiety for $100 or $200 transactions, $1.5 million WOW!

Thank you for this. I am right now checking everything about EOS, because I want to be part of this too. Yes, someone big noticed the potential of it and has a strong believe in EOS - that is why he/she is already putting in a looooot of money. :) And then go looong and wait for the creative superbrain Larimer's miracles.

I wonder why whales would not - at this stage of the ICO - take a follow up round to dump a Huuge amount of ETH in. Other whales do not necessarily follow as they many have shot their wad already and getting an acceptable number of coins becomes less easy when one party has contributed a lot already.

Or would whales want to have more security on the actual price they will get in the end (and thus are more inclined to invest in the then current round)?

Are you pumping? If not, this is the exact type of thinking that indicates a bubble and makes me wary of investing. Especially into something without a product or investment cap. The world is full of rich trust fund babies who have no clue what they are doing. I would say the ones scamming rich people out of their money are smarter lol.

Great info, thanks for sharing! EOS is definitely becoming the hot topic nowadays, and when you see people investing $1.5 million into it, it makes you wonder how much you should invest. My motto, "invest only what you can afford to lose." That way, you're always winning :)

The main thing I don't get with EOS is the huge market cap that's projected here. From my understanding we're looking at over 1 Billion tokens valued at .25 ETH each. The valuation would put it at over $75B, which is larger than even Bitcoin. How does this kind of valuation and level of fund raising make sense for something that hasn't quite proved its mettle?

I know there is a lot of positive energy around EOS but something just doesn't quite click for me here.

It's actually legal for US residents to participate....it's just is a legally gray area for the companies to allow US residents to participate. I'm sure many US residents do participate by just getting one of those VPNs...costs $10 or less for a month.

I've been looking into EOS for the past few days and IMO the only sensible time to buy in during the ICO would be at the very end of each purchase period. This is the only way to determine roughly what price you will be buying in at.
a * (b/c)

a = Total ETH contributed by an authorized purchaser during the period.
b = Total number of EOS Tokens available for distribution in the period.
c = Total ETH contributed by all authorized purchasers during the period.

That's just a smart bet.

Crypto is in the Wild West days right now just like internet marketing was in the early days. Anybody could jump in and make huge returns keyword stuffing. When search engine algorithms got more sophisticated it got harder and harder to find that low hanging fruit.

I don't think crypto is any different. Things will evolve and the same people that were once hailed as "geniuses" will piss away fortunes.

It's the nature of money and speculation.
