in eos •  7 years ago  (edited)

Whateos is a non-profit EOS community that aims to become the democratic node with the highest security and stability and the most powerful EOS super node in Oceania. In order to build a highly effective, stable and secure server, Whateos team will take a multi-regional and step-wise development approach to build the node with high security.

This report aims to answer 2 New Check Mark Criteria listed in the Announcement by EOSGO.

1. Block Producer Candidate Roadmap

Whateos has concluded social campaigns and roadshows to expand the presence in the local blockchain community.

Whateos’ partner HyperPay and JNB Exchange have also added support for EOS ERC20 token, in particular, HyperPay also added support to claim EOS related airdrop for EOS ERC20 token holders. These attempts were aiming to broaden the presence of Whateos.

Starting from June 2018, should Whateos becoming one of the EOS block producer, Whateos will launch a new series of social campaign to educate users regarding EOS technology, including hosting meetups and hackathons.
Whateos will also utilise the HyperPay and JNB’s combined resources to conduct regular surveys from different user groups in order to determine the technology route and developmental needs for the BP node.

In the pending mainnet live period, the team at Whateos will work closely with HyperPay and JNB to help transition user swap from ERC20 EOS token to mainnet EOS token.

In 2019, Whateos’ aim is to incubate EOS developments such as DApps and community programs. Whateos will be actively looking to branch out to the more traditional technology crowd by partnering up with other programs such as local hackathon events in the likes of GovHack and Rhok (Random Hack of Kindness).

Whateos will reach out to different organisations to preach blockchain technology and EOS technology.

2. Position on Dividens ((The sharing of Block Producer inflation rewards with unaffiliated voters, AKA "vote buying.")

Please describe the block producer candidate's stance on sharing inflation rewards and/or paying dividends to EOS token holders.

  • Will the organisation offer payment to EOS token voters for any reason, including BP elections AND worker proposals?

No. Whateos has a clear policy on investment of profits and inflation rewards. Aside from making improvements on server infrastructures and improving security posture. Whateos also wishes to utilise the funding to expand the community by hosting regular meetups and seminars on EOS and the wider blockchain technology.

  • Does the organisation have a written policy of no-payment for votes? If so, please provide a link.

Whateos will NOT attempt to pay any EOS token holders in return for votes. Please review further details in the Non-payment for Votes Policy Post.
