If @dan is making EOSfinex with the guys form Bitfinex, he may be able to change a bit the standards for the current decentralized exchanges. I am sorry that I've been too busy in the last days to follow the news or I would have seen this article earlier, which seems to be posted by the Bitfinex team.
Today we are proud to announce EOSfinex — the first high performance decentralised exchange to be built on EOS.IO technology.
This has been published exactly twelve days ago so I am a pretty uninformed person which is also a reason why I stopped trading and started holding the coins that I believe in, but that is another story.
What this mean is that developments that @dan is making to EOS will take out of the market BitShares which were aimed to the same thing that EOSfinex is now doing. In this moment if EOSfinex will go live, it will most likely have a much bigger volume than BitShares and we will see a big decrease in its price.
If it means anything it is because people have such big hopes and expectations from Dan & EOS...
From what I read there is a Ethfinex too, but that's all I read... Guess it never got popular.. IDK..

Yep, you are right, there is an Ethfinex, but that seems to be more like a community, while EOSfinex is an exchange and the way it is promoted makes it a competitor of Bitshares and any other DEX.

Then expect in the future to see better steemitlike platforms running on EOSIO...
Steemit was an experiment, it has lots of shortcomings, and by the way it is made its hard to make changes/improvements...
Dan even said so, on the UTube interview with Vitally that you posted too...

I know, but I tend to trust the Steemit team to improve Steem in the near future and to make it much better and scalable than it is right now. In their last update it seems that they are working hard and they have grown a lot. That post looks very professional and the team that is growing seems to be much better than just a small startup as it was before. I guess it remains to see :D

I was driving could not write back...
I read that post too, few days ago, but I'm not impressed... It makes me think of someone using makeup... No fundamental core changes, just adding features...
I'm not, and I'll never be a writer/blogger,so this platform is not made for me... maybe I don't get it, but Steemit make me think of MySpace, if you heard of it, not sure you were born back then... It was the coolest thing, then, slowly it was not trending anymore... I never closed the account, I just stopped using it... It will happen again..

Well, I hope that thing won't happen to Steem, considering that I have a little coins powered up, but anyway for the moment I am not afraid of this since it is the only social media based crypto. In the future I think, if Mark Zuckerberg will make a FacebookCoin or something, then the days of Steem are numbered IMHO :))

you just made your second comment to my post, I feel flattered :))
I hope he won't try that, it was just a random thought, after all, I don't think that anybody will be able to make a better Steem too soon.

This is bad news for all the Steem stakeholders what can I say. I just hope they are only rumors...
