You probably are... I remember them talking about it when he was doing the B's games.

Thank God those guys weren't the size they are now with pads that are more like weapons. I think the average back then was 5'8" about 165 lbs.

I agree.

But for Gordie's size and elbows

weapons

lol

And Johnny Bucyk's hips... he had the sweetest hip check I ever saw- the move was almost imperceptible and the recipient would go flying into the boards!

You know, I know this is not the stuff you would usually write about and I am not on here much anymore... but I would love for you to write about Bobby to start, and some of these other guys you SAW play.

Nobody my age group saw them play.

Many of us do not understand or respect what they brought to the game as men and as players.

I think you would do a great job of writing and also might be a really good time for you putting something down on paper about your life and all that stuff we talk about, good memories etc.

Your generation was the last good generation in my books, my generation is lazy and soft, I have been saying since I was in Grade ~10 or so, believe it or not back in the mid 80's.

I'll do it! I've been collecting pics of some of those guys on Pinterest so I can add some pics! Remember this guy???

Of course I do.

I mean, we never met in person LOL.

You would be proud of me, I had a great call tonight / encrypted with the founder of Ft. Galt in Chile to discuss a lot of things.

I presume you have heard of this - if not -- look it up. And def. LMK when your post is up, you would do a great series, starting with Bobby of course.

What I'm thinking of doing is starting out with a general post called When Men Were Men- the Old NHL and then doing individual bios of some of the greats

That's a great idea.
