The STEEMIT community is alive with creative people. Everyday I peruse the tags and find multitudes of work that is not getting the recognition it deserves. I want to try to get these artists more exposure and in the process get more exposure for my own artistic endeavors. I help you and you help me. How? Read on.
Steemians share a symbiotic relationship with one another. How we interact directly influences our progress and growth in the community. To that end, and because I am truly interested in the creative community, I am creating the #epicartist tag. I will upvote and resteem any creative works that use the tag. I'm not all that big here on STEEMIT but I'm growing everyday. As I post your works to my followers you gain notice. As you gain so do I. It is a win-win for both the artists and the community at large. A lot of you are really talented and are getting washed away in a steady flow of content. Get more notice. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Photography, poetry, stories, digital art, drawings. Any and all creative content can use this avenue to be seen by a larger audience. Thank You for your contributions and You're Welcome for mine.
that they are being enjoyed by their audience so
COMMENTS and UPVOTES are ALWAYS appreciated.
Sounds like a great initiative, which could turn out to be quite effective. I've been active on Steemit for only 2 weeks, and one point I've realized is, as you said, that so much content gets "washed away in the steady flow."
Much of the content produced by minnows gets virtually no recognition whatsoever. Of course, minnows can do several things in order to grow – keep plugging away, produce content consistently, curate.
But if we can get initiatives such as this new tag (with full-on support), we can help minnows get exposure and grow.
I'll soon be starting a new series of posts on my experiences in Japan. Will use the epicartist tag.
Thanks and Cheers.

Thank You. I would love to see your experiences shared on Steemit. I have never traveled outside of the U.S. but would love to some day.

I'd be glad to fill you in on my travels and life overseas. Stay tuned.
(Actually, while swimming this morning, I had a bit of inspiration. I decided to expand my posts about Japan (already prepared, for the most part), by adding a few paragraphs of commentary to each one. So, the launch of my Japan Notes series will be delayed for a week or more. In due time ...)
Meanwhile, I'll keep posting my current initiatives. Damn, I'm working longer hours than at an office job. But all the hours are much more pleasant.
Hope your "work" is also pleasant and rewarding.

Things have a way of being seen somehow but creating tags is a good way to begin interaction. I will take part to see what happens. You may also be interested in a project I am involved in with other artist here on Steemit which I will tell more about when there is something mores solid.
Upvoted and followed.
