Gender roles

Today we talk about an old age topic. Equaulity and gender roles! It is isn't something hard to write about but something that hard to get people on the same page as you. My personal opinion is that gender roles suck . The girls and boys of the world are told to do this if your a girl and this if you're a boy . Some cultures tell women to stay at home to clean ,cook , and take care of the kids and others say get out do something , be happy and show your ass while you're at it. One thing women will never ever get away from is the pressure to be perfect. We constantly compare ourselves to the other woman around us not only because it is human nature but because how we were raised up to do these things. I wasn't raised to think I was beautiful 99.9% of my insecurities are stemed from this. I constantly look at other women and think I wish my ass was bigger and I wish I looked like that. In my eyes I have to be better than the rest in order to find love and be able to sleep at night. What makes you think other young women don't think this way. it's a hard habit to kick because it constantly pressured on us. The same goes for the young boys of the world they are taught to feed their masculinity constantly. Now it is about how many girls you've been with. I am a woman and if I did this I would be labeled a hoe while for a boy it is a " that's my boy " this is where equality steps in and is trying to kick butt . We are fighting for equality and it is slowly coming up which is happy but sad that it is barely happening. Only people fighting for this if you're a woman or black. It seems like you're only safe if you're white and old because men are told tell are more powerful or better then women and well if you're white you are told you're better than everyone 🙄but racial equality is for another day. But on topic . To support the reason of this blog I will state my reasoning and my claim I will provide the evidence I've seen in real life and not statistics . When a boy is raised up in a house hold of mainly girls they take on the traits of a "girl" . When a young girl is raised up in a household of boys she takes on the traits of a "boy" . She / he aren't born to love pink or blue . These . Stereotypes are like girls like pink and boys like blue . If this stereotype isn't enforced in the household it will be at school with the other kid and in the most harsh way like bullying and that leads to hurt minds and souls . Back on topic . We , society , have made it 20x worse magazines and social media. I would be a liar if I said I did take the pleasure of going on Instagram . It is something that is hard to resist and I will be honest it will never go away. It is also something we have to ignore because it is Teaching us very badly . We aren't perfect and we have to face that no matter how hard it is. We are who we are and that is okay . One day we will learn to love ourselves , it will take time but we'll get there!
