Epic Equifax Breach Hits 143 Million: What to Do Now

in equifax •  7 years ago

Greetings!

"Sensitive personal info — including Social Security and possibly driver's license numbers — may be in the hands of data thieves. This is arguably the worst data breach ever. " - from Tomsguide.com, this morning.

Does anyone else find it IRONIC that Equifax is NOW offering complimentary ID protection - when apparently it cannot protect its member accounts - to those who have had their personal financial information breached last May?

Apparently, my own information has been hacked - I checked the Equifax website - but I am not sure if I am any better off knowing this, or WHAT to do about it.

Has anyone else made this discovery today?
