Is Overthinking Things Bad?
For a large portion of my life, I've felt like my overthinking was a curse and a burden. It's felt like the source of uncomfortable feelings or awkward social situations. People who could live in the moment and celebrate more seemed "better" and "happier". My approach to my frustrations with overthinking was to try to treat a problem. To try to change or fix myself.
With age, I've been able to ask a new question to reframe the problem. Maybe there isn't a problem at all. Maybe this isn't something we should be deciding if it's good or bad. Maybe we need to learn how to look at our weaknesses a new way.
Excited to hear your thoughts. Thank you for listening!
Let's not miss our strengths in our weaknesses, friends.
