Recently @fredrikaa who works at the European Space Agency attended the workshop where they were also discussing blockchain technology. As per request I recorded a clip of him asking a question related to incentivizing user engagement for projects in the future.

They mention how Hyperloop also incentivizes activity toward the project with shares, more and more people and projects are realizing that having a wide userbase that share ideas and improvements while rewarding them is a good way to go forward.
Its nice to know that blockchain and specifically DPOS makes this a lot easier to reward the community through votes for their inputs and solutions.
This event was livestreamed and some Steemians on steemit.chat were lucky enough to be around when @fredrikaa pasted a link to it allowing us to watch him live at work. :)

It was fun to see the steemit logo appear in one of their slides, although I question some of the other mentions alongside it :P
But yes, I would hope to see many open innovation co-creation projects on what we can do in space, what kind of structures we can build on Mars, what type of experiments we can send to different moons etc, all discussed, designed and proposed by open discussion forums where people get rewarded through participation with tokens that can be used to either get a share in resulting projects or something else cool. I can totally see that being a space-parallel to the hyperloop mentioned by Frank Salzgeber in this video, and would be awesome if it was run as a SMT on the steem blockchain :) happy to have been there!

Wow that is cool to see the Steemit logo on one of ESA slides :)) I can see also the logo of Bloq which is very cool as well they are releasing a token called Metronome. You are correct. I didn't mean it's a bad thing to ask if you don't knoe, but there are questions which take you forward and questions which bring the entire idea forward.

This last guy is right on the point. It's also where I see the Blockchain heading towards in the future. Where people work in a kind of freelancer thing without a salary, but rather by being a part of the company itself by owning shares (tokens).

I didn't know about Hyperloop having "volunteers" or "public investors" being engaged in it. It does makes sense, to create customer engagement to improve the success of a product or project.
Basically every project could be a Kickstarter (with shares) or (SMT company). At the moment I find it hard to imagine that people are going to buy or receive hundreds of different coins for each service they use.
At the same time, I have a feeling this is going to be the future.

It is great to see that a agency like ESA and many others discussing blockchain technology. For a long time now I am telling all my friends and family how blockchain technology is changing the world for the moment but many of them don't get it so it is important to spread the word and explain them about this great technology, for that I love Steemit and other platforms you can write, read and learn a lot about the blockchain technology.This is why I tell them all to join Steemit.
