Spending the last five years of my life working in South Korea as an English teacher I needed to send money home to pay off students loans :( Every month I would send money home with a Remittance account with Korea Exchange Bank (KEB, now KEB-Hana Bank) It was recommended to me and the top choice among workers in Korea.
After a few years I found BTC and started sending money home with BTC with Circle. I was saving money on transaction fees and and it was amazing.
With the recent cryptocurrency crazy though, arbitrage rates have been setting crypto in Korea at a premium and costing as much as if I was sending with a bank again. >.<
Now, a new player enters the money remittance market with Sodatransfer.
You can very quickly transfer money from USD to KRW and KRW to USD. The fees are minimal in comparison to banks and very quick. Simply put in a request and get a notification to deposit money into their bank account. Once verified your money will appear in the other country's account within a couple of business days. You do need to link your account with your Routing and Account number... and that's it! Enjoy sending up to $20,000 every year in an efficient, low cost manner.
Also, if you use my referral code you can save on your first transfer and be doing me a favor by giving me a coupon too! :)
