Tunisia's Esperance scored a valuable 2-2 draw from Egypt's Al Ahli in the quarter-finals of the African Champions League on Saturday night.
The club's goalkeeper, Sherif Ikrami, was given a lot by his club keeper, when he made a huge mistake by beating Esperance at the start of the second half when he turned a free kick into his goal.
Al-Ahli opened the scoring from a penalty kick by Abdullah Al-Saeed in the 11th minute, before Esperance was substituted by Taha Yassin Al-Khneisi in the 21st minute.
In the second half, Ikrami gave the goal to Al-Tarjee in the 48th minute, before Moroccan striker Walid Azaro equalized for Ahli in the 67th minute.
The meeting was attended by a large crowd of Al Ahli fans, despite the match at the Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
The return leg will be held next Saturday in Radès, and a 1-1 draw by Esperance will be enough to qualify for the semi-finals. Al-Ahli will have to snatch the win in Tunisia or draw 3-3 or more.
