One of the CS:GO teams, located in Denmark and Sweden, Singularity Esports has officially announced a breakup with its roster. They decided this was related to the team's internal reconstruction and complex financial arrangements.
This makes this team the second team to have removed its roster after Team EnVyUs. But unlike the team, Singularity does not completely release this team related to their poor performance.
Quoted from the official website of Singalurity Esports, the team decided to part with its roster related to the financial problems that wrapped around the team. They claim that finance will be focused on the internal development of the esports organization.
With this decision, Singularity was forced to release the remaining 10 months contract with the composition of players they brought from the Gatekeepers team in August 2017.
Here is the ranks of former Singularity team players CS:GO division :
- André “BARBARR“ Möller
- Benjamin “BENDJI“ Söderena
- Alfred “RuStY“ Karlsson
- Hugo “HugoXD“ Hallgren
- Nicolas “Plopski“ Gonzalez Zamora
There is no certainty about the steps of former retainer Singularity Esports for the future. But one thing is for sure, they will bear the status of the official free agent since July 5, 2018 ago.
Some roster changes are commonplace, and financially itself is still a fairly common problem. At the very least, the esports team needs some achievement to work with multiple sponsors.
Singularity CS:GO @ CPH Games 2018!
Singularity itself is still fairly 'champion cage' through the lack of their title in the realm of international competition. However, the appreciation deserves to be pinned by the management team who continue to compensate the salary and respectfully release the players.
A similar thing happened in some other esports organizations, call it Iceberg Esports. This Canadian esports team had released several players, but started with drama and without clarity of the organization. Some of their roster did not even get the promised salary, and Iceberg Esports delinquent to pay for it for no apparent reason.
This decision also ended the journey of Singularity Esports at ESEA Mountain Dew League as well as Thunderpick Invitational # 2. Related Singularity interests with CS:GO division ahead, team management also has not shown their response.
