If we were sane, we would organize ourselves in the best possible way. We would do what was best for us as a people and the environment of our territories. We live the opposite way. We start with economics and usually end there. Putting money first changes everything.
It is strange how much power we give to paper and coins that have numbers at them. Our money does not represent anything, except our belief in the money. Money cannot help what it has become. We literally and figuratively make money what it is. Money is not helping or harming us, only we can do that.
We could have cures to every physical, emotional and psychological disease in existence. We could reward the creators of cures with prestige and honor. This would be a great motivator, but money takes us in the other direction. Treatment industries make more money than cure industries, so cures are out.
