Serena Williams is one of the greatest athletes on this planet. She is also a black woman from a black neighborhood. The United States has treated black people like second class citizens since the beginning. Serena was reminded of who she is at the 2018 U. S. Open, as she was unjustly penalized, in the final match.
It does not matter how much money or attention Serena brings to tennis. It does not matter how much money Serena makes for corporations, the establishment will always see her a certain way.
