Essential Oil can Change your health

Hi! My name is Tanya. I wanted to make my introductory post personal to myself and pertinent to you. :) For that reason I chose to write about essential oil.

About three years ago I started my journey using these oils. I started very skeptically, primarily because I had suffered with GI issues and found an answer primarily in food modification but also because I had tried a lot of alternative healing remedies that had simply failed to deliver.

I bought a membership with Doterra and laid out a plan where in I would spend only $50 a month and begin to slowly build my knowledge base while maximizing my membership benefits. I would like to share this plan with you today because it has worked so well for me.

Essential oils may simply be called the lifeblood of the plant from which they are derived--they are the circulating juices of the plant which are otherwise called oleo-gum-resins. The resin portion of these oil structures can be used to make tinctures by combining in alcohols. Then there is the gum portion of the essential oil compound. The gum portion may be extracted by boiling or soaking in water. Finally there is the oleo, or oil, portion of the plant fluid. This portion is extracted using differing techniques dependent on the source, but most oils are extracted using steam distillation where by leaves of a given plant are placed in a vat where they are exposed to steam that collects the oils of the plant and then is separated so that the oil portion is distinct from the water vapor from which it is obtained.

Essential oils are very volatile and should not be exposed to air. For this reason it is recommended that they be used by mixing them with a carrier oil of your choice. You intention for use will help you determine what sort of carrier oil to use. Generally the "oiling communities" will talk about using fractionated coconut oil, which is coconut oil that is liquid at room temperature. Some people are allergic to FCO or coconut oil in general, and at my house our skin is prone to acne, so we actually like to use jojoba oil or other carrier oil. I do buy pre-diluted applicators from DoTerra, I am just more wary of using these on my face.

Essential Oil can be used topically, internally and also aromatically. We talked some about topical use already. I have yet to find an essential oil that does not have healing, rejuvenating benefits to the skin, but some can be used specifically to help expedite healing bones and restoration of sore muscles. I will do an A-Z series on the oils this coming year and will go over the individual properties of each oil and how it can benefit you. DoTerra is working with the FDA in order to make essential oil use more mainstream. I love this effort by the company, but it comes with some distinctive labeling that should be explained. Each vial of oil sold by DoTerra will have an expiration date on the bottom of the vial. Essential oils do not actually expire, although proper storage is important so that they maintain their therapeutic chemical makeup. Again I will talk about proper storage in a later post. Another distinctive label feature of DoTerra essential oils is the "supplement facts." Each vial will have supplement facts if it safe to take internally, so you do not need to have a reference book with you for this purpose at all times. Of course you will definitely want to take essential oils internally only if you have a knowledge as to why you are doing so, and for this a reference book or knowledgable mentor will be enormously beneficial to you as you begin your oil journey. I provide both the community and the mentorship. When used aromatically essential oils can energize and uplift, calm irritation, reduce stress, and help you unwind after a hard day. I began using essential oils with one primary goal: I wanted to sleep better. I was, at the time, taking ambien to help me sleep, but it was not very effective. That is scary to say, because ambien is one of the strongest sleepaids out there, and is associated with sleepwalking. But my body just didn't respond to it, perhaps because it did little to help me shut off my mind and relax. Single motherhood is stressful! What can I say? What ambient couldn't do, essential oils did--very effectively! I never leave home for an overnight venture without my diffuser because if I do I am almost guaranteed to not sleep. And you want to know the real win to diffusing essential oil--not only do they benefit your mood, they clean their air of mold and bacteria!

I enrolled with the membership option and immediately joined the loyalty reward program when I enrolled three years ago. If I had it to do over I would have purchased a fast start kit. The Loyalty reward program commits you to a monthly purchase, but it does not set an amount for you. The benefit to the program is that it allows you to earn doterra credit. You begin at 10% of your PV being given back to you in purchase credit and you max out at 30% rewards. PV is product value, and it is equivalent to wholesale oil value. So, you have the opportunity to earn $30 for every $100 that you spend on oils with DoTerra. You build your earning power by purchasing at least $50 a month for 3 months to increase your earning percent by 5%. So while you do not have to purchase a set amount on the loyalty reward program it is advantageous to purchase at least $50 each month for a year. There are multiple reasons for this.
