Changing the Location of Imported "Local Folders" and "Local Directory" of Thunderbird Will Remove Them All from Thunderbird Itself

in esteem •  6 years ago

You just installed Thunderbird and then you imported all the settings, profiles, and mail files of your previous e-mail client such as Microsoft Outlook into Thunderbird itself.

You decided to relocate the "Local directory" folders (on Server Settings and Local Folders) from its original location into a new location of your choosing.

But when you restarted your Thunderbird all your emails, profiles, and settings are gone.

The problem could be in the location itself.

If you only relocated the folders Local folders and your account folder into a new location, chances are, the settings are left in its original location.

In order to fix it you need to initiate the import process again in your Thunderbird. Wait for it to finish and you are good to go.

All your files and accounts will then appear after the import is finished.
