Since I was a child, the mixture that makes drinks sweet or commonly called syrup is familiar. But the most legendary and already famous since the first Kurnia syrup with a picture of a queen statue.
Since my childhood about 40 years ago, this syrup has been popular with most people of Aceh. The common name is 'patong syrup'. Liquid sweetener is always present in the home residents during the day of the big day.
Although there are a number of other brands, but people feel incomplete without the 'patong syrup' in his home. Especially during Lebaran day and party or celebration in a house.
It used to be produced in Aceh, somehow on its way, the location of its production moved to North Sumatra. However, until now this syrup remains an idol amid many other brands that circulate in the market.
