Use Your Words Wisely.

It's a new week and as such is best to start it off the right way and the best way to do that is to choose our words wisely as words can either wield a positive or negative influence on self, people or our surroundings.

Words are so powerful that it was the spoken word of God that created the earth out of nothingness as can be seen in Genesis 1:1-31.Since we are made in the likeness of God,we have inherited that same power to either be creative or destructive.

Throughout history there are examples of how words have created, saved or destroyed an entire civilization as it continues to do today. One example was how Winston Churchill was able to change the course of history by using his words to talk his nation out of surrendering to Nazi led Germany to winning WW2.

Friedrich Nietzsce said and i quote:

All i need is a sheet of paper and something to write with, and then i can turn the world upside down.

Big companies hire charismatic motivational speakers to inspire their workforce with motivational speeches to feel good about
themselves and their workplace with the ultimate aim of boosting productivity and for that they are willing to pay top dollar for the service.

Great nurses knows how to use kinds words to speed up the healing process of those in their care, kind words also has the power to change someones's entire day for the better.

Good words are worth much, but cost little.
-George Herbert.

Even more important to remember is the fact that not everything needs to be said most especially if the words serves no useful purpose other than to hurt or leave a scar.

Be careful what you say.You can say something hurtful in ten seconds, but ten years later, the wounds are still there -Joel Osteen.

Best ways to avoid situations like that is to quickly walk away from it before it escalates to a point where it is irredeemable because once hurtful words are exchanged they can only be forgiven but not forgotten.

So as we go through the week remember to use your words wisely to uplift everyone around you.

Definitely true, we need to be careful about our words especially when we are in anger and that's on the negative side...Your examples are a sign of getting positive results through the words spoken by the historic people you referred.

This is a great post @badmusgreene. We do have to be watchful in what we say to others, because the wrong words could scar someone for life. So very important to be uplifting as much as possible.
