The Darkness: Pain

Lost in a sea of faces, I heard voices of people screaming. They called out to me, trying to reach me but no matter how I tried, their grip kept eluding me. The distance between us grew perpetually as time streamed on.
The people I loved the most suddenly became strangers, like two ships sailing in the night we went by each other. The things we did and moments we shared became distant memories dwelling on the horizon of our minds; life had grown us apart and there seemed like there was no return.
The things I loved suddenly became distasteful, my heart's appetite got botched and twisted, my eyes wanted to see something more and I got pissed off and tired of my monotonous existence.

I looked up to the skies and they seemed bleak, like the heavens had gone to sleep and the bodies above had forgotten I exist. The darkness hadn't forgotten me, it seemed to always be lurking in the shadows of the day light and immediately the night time came, the evils of the night came for my soul; countless times they tried and countless times they succeeded, my demons love the darkness after all. I drifted far into the darkness and fed my demons passion fruit. Its not what I want but its better than being on the fence.
