ah interesting, ive been stepping up my aperture but now I know that may cause problems.

Hi, yes , making you aperture smaller (F stop numbers more than F11 on mft) introduce diffraction which makes the image look less sharp. It gives you more depth of field but less sharpness.

glad I learned this! I get hotspots in the center of the image when using my infrared passthrough filters on my GH3 when my aperture smaller. Maybe that explains that as well.
