The land on the edge of Rawabadak Reservoir, North Jakarta, will be used as a farming area for residents using hydroponic and aquaponic methods.
Rawa Badak Selatan Sutarjo urban village said the use of empty land as an urban farming area aims to introduce agricultural technology to citizens.
"The concept is to introduce agricultural technology, I want the people who have the pool rather than the circulation to produce nothing, it is better to be circulated to the plants that can produce," said Sutarjo, to Kompas(dot)com, Tuesday (10/7 / 2018).
The urban farming area of Sutarjo has begun to look its shape. Framework pipes and three ponds are being done by officers.
Sutarjo said, urban farming area will be managed by citizens with government support.
"We just go along with his name is also self-help.We together with gotong royong, so baseball is just government, baseball just citizens," said Sutarjo.
