Dear Diary: Too Bad For My Parents That My Dialysis Remains On The Third Set

It is disheartening and sad that my dialysis schedule didn't change despite that my mother had sent a letter of request directly to the owner of the dialysis center and despite that the owner told the staff to change my schedule into an earlier spot.

And what did we get?

The same schedule, so we will be heading there an hour and a quarter to let me get hooked for dialysis as early as possible so we can go home earlier.

My dialysis will be at the 4:00 PM slot which is the third set for the day. So our hope to going home before nightfall is crushed.

My only hope is that the nurses would consider our situation because my father is old and having a hard time driving at night. But our request seems to fall in deaf ears.

Actually it isn't really hard to put us in an earlier schedule because the nurses are prioritizing patients that bribe them with food. So if they would like to have a chance for a patient to give them food they would schedule that particular patient at day time.

There Are Many Forms Of Bribes Including Food

I had been a dialysis patient for long already and i already had seen a lot of it. The staff are just like government officials LOL, you can bribe them in a direct or subtle way to gain favors.

I just remember that instance when I was requesting medicine that I need in a hospital at Manila. I want to get included in the queue but after getting there despite how early I went the quota has already been filed up.

So before going to the hospital I would buy some grapes to bribe the guard with it that is manning the queue. She accepts it without saying anything and taking my queue card so I can get my medicines. That is despite she is saying that there will be no more queue cards to be accepted that day.

Conclusion: Bribing works 100%
