There are 27 viruses that can be caused from sperma

Not only HIV and Hepatitis virus, it turns out there are 27 different viruses that can be transmitted through semen.

These results were found by researchers from the University of Oxford and the Public Health Rapid Support Team in the UK.

They got the idea to study the topic after a study published in Emerging Infectious Disease in 2016 reported that RNA from the Zika virus could live in semen.

The researchers then did a search on the PubMed catalog and studied 3,800 reports to find out what viruses can live and spread through semen.

They found 27 different viruses, including Zika, who can live in semen and infect the bloodstream.

Then, as many as 11 viruses, including those causing influenza, dengue fever, and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), were also found to live in the testes and are transmitted through semen.

Some of these, such as HIV, ebola, herpes and hepatitis, may not be surprising.

However, the majority of pathogens found by researchers have not been studied as sexually transmitted diseases.

The researchers confirmed that contracting viral particles does not necessarily cause infection or disease.

However, this should be studied further to determine the effect of the functional virus on fertility and embryonic development.

In a report published through Emerging Infectious Disease, colleagues Peter Horby and Alex Salam also asked: "Which virus is wasted and settled in semen, how long, and at what concentration?"

However, the question needs to be answered with further research.
