The First steemit meetup in Abuja, Nigeria

Hey there... Am quite excited today. Why you say? That is because I will be attending my very first Steemit meetup. I have been seeing other meetup on steemit but they are not relatively close to me so I can't attend, and the videos and pictures that come forth from these meetups are always so beautiful. The best thing about it is that you cannot attend one of these meetups and go back home the same, I mean with the same level of standard you came with. The first steemit meetup I read about was the steemit Uyo meetup where sir @ejemai launched the official steemit accelerator hub (STACH) which is meant to encourage a decentralized offline with basic resources to help them achieve at least a neutral standard of living. It was indeed a wonderful sight and the accelerator hub I must say looked wonderful.

Anyways before I get lost in professing the wonders of Steemit, let me finish up what I really set out to impact with this post. The firat steemit meetup of its kind is about to happen in Abuja, the federal capital territory of Nigeria. Oh yes, it's going to be a massive event and the organizers of the meetup @fatherfaith @anjiba @chiama @jacobite @expency have made sure everything is in check. We are all so excited and filled with joy about the meetup.

So aside from meeting some of the steemit friends I have made through chat messenger face to face, I would also get to invite new people to to the steem blockchain and the steemit platform as I have told all my friends about it who have been reluctant to get on board and they have promised to come. Also there will be lectures on steem and the steemit platform and it's various branches such as esteem, busy.org, zappl, steepshot, utopian-io, dmania, decentmemes, dtube, dlive, and any other one I have not mentioned in this quick list. We will be taking a look at the do's and don't, and how to make good use of these steem extensions in a maximal capacity for earning and changing lives.

That is our banner which was made by the executive members of the Abuja steem group. I am really excited as this is going to be a new feat for the steem blocktivity and the steemit community, we need to show the world how steem is impacting knowledge and also changing lives by offering a decentralized blockchain towards creative content creators and their earnings or rewards. It's time to eradicate poverty and make it as minimal as possible in the world. It is the legacy of corrupt leaders we have in the world and it is time to put a stop to the nonsense called poverty. It saddens me when I see children on the street hawking when Infact they should have been in school or when I see families who because of the poor capacity of the government to cater for civil servants suffering from hunger and lack. We could do so much more in helping ourselves instead of waiting for crumbs at their table, this is my primary objective for steemit.
