Thank you, @steemitboard, for this personal award which also notified me that it was my first year anniversary on Steemit today. Wow, one year and I am still submitting posts, thanks to @surpassinggoogle for his @ulogs concept, and @actifit which gives me the motivation to post daily as well as to have fitness goals this new year.

I would also like to thank @emergehealthier for her support during the time I could not even post anything due to low mana or RC credit during that Hard Fork update. I didn't even know what was going on. But @emergehealthier came to the rescue and delegated 150 SP to my account, and because of that I tried my best to submit posts as regularly as possible so as not to waste the delegated steem power.

I ask myself sometimes, why do I even bother spend or waste my time on Steemit when in fact for one year today, I have not even earned a single cent ever since I joined in. It's all on the Steem Power, and I have not converted it to cash or anything. And yet, I kept on increasing my Steem Power whenever I can. I know it's not that much, but I spent my money on Steemit and have never earned anything back.

However, I do enjoy writing and sharing my photos, and I like the fact that I can interact with other people from all over the world. I also enjoy reading people's posts and engaging with them through comments. I like that I am able to write haikus through @vdux's contest. When I am in the mood to cook, I take photos of my procedures and share my recipes here --- or whatever project or activity that I am involved in, or any motivational and religious post, or work that I do as a teacher --- I love sharing all of them on Steemit. It's also a challenge for me to be able to post on a regular basis.

I actually make a copy of my posts on my Wordpress account, for fear that I might lose all of my posts if Steemit will suddenly vanish. But either @hobo.media or @crypto.piotr said that I don't have to worry about that since all of the posts are saved on the blockchain. And that's what I like about Steemit. Even though I don't have many people reading my posts, I know that somehow a few people may stumble upon my posts, read them and comment on them, the same way that I do, unlike on Wordpress, where nobody comments, let alone pays attention - so there's no interaction whatsoever.

I am also thankful that there are bots like @upvoteph, @minnosupport, @broadcast, @yehey that give free upvotes when I submit my posts on their Discord channel.

And speaking of Discord, I am grateful to @dynamicgreentk for noticing me and inviting me to his Discord group, and because of his curation trail, @dynamicsteemians, I am guaranteed upvotes as long as I follow his rules and guidelines on following his curation trail. During my first three months, @steembulls was very helpful as well. I have met a few people such as @shanu, @elvielins, @chireerocks, @pkalra, @honeychum, @bunnychum, and @puregrace, who then eventually sponsored me for @steembasicincome shares. I was surprised when @puregrace suddenly decided to choose me for her @sbi sponsorship.

Of course, I won't be here on Steemit if not for my sister, @dynamicshine. She was the one who encouraged me to "blog" on Steemit. I told her I'd give it a shot but then I'd see how I'd go if I would be able to commit to it. Now, I'm the one that pushes her to be more active here. But I know she's busy with her family, she has got 3 kids, and then just recently started working as a Registered Nurse already, so I know she has got a lot on her plate.

As for me, I will continue my active engagement on this platform so I hope and pray that I will always find the motivation and inspiration to share something good and valuable or to help in my own little way towards the growth of the Steem blockchain.

So, once again, I thank everyone who has made my participation in Steemit worthwhile. I hope someday I will be able to meet some Steemians during @teamaustralia Steemit meet-up. It will be my goal this year.

Anyway, thank you for reading. If you have any comment or feedback, please reply below. I look forward to reading your comments. Thanks and bye for now!

Yours truly,
@evlachsblog

Dear @evlachsblog

I'm glad you sticked around for over a year already. Also thx for mentioning my name and your kind words. Appreciate it a lot.

I ask myself sometimes, why do I even bother spend or waste my time on Steemit when in fact for one year today, I have not even earned a single cent ever since I joined in. It's all on the Steem Power, and I have not converted it to cash or anything. And yet, I kept on increasing my Steem Power whenever I can

That is surely good and solid question to ask yourself. If not monetary rewards then what keep us here? My answer is: possibility of quality engagement with others, who share similar interests. would you agree?

I actually make a copy of my posts on my Wordpress account, for fear that I might lose all of my posts if Steemit will suddenly vanish

All content is stored on STEEM blockchain. Steemit is only front-end (accessing and displaying data). Even if steemit would vanish then you can use steempeak.com or others front-ends :)

So don't worry about it my dear friend.

All the best,
Yours
Piotr

Happy Anniversary!!! :)

Thank you, @jaynie. Thanks for following, too.
