The mosque, founded in 1777 during the sultan Tamjidillah, the sultan of the Banjar kingdom, is one of the oldest mosques in South Kalimantan. The location of the mosque is located on the edge of the river martapura, Banjarmasin. Then in 1934 AD The mosque was transferred in mutual assistance to the area that is now in Surgi Mufti area.
