The freaktive eruption that occurred at Mount Merapi this morning is the seventh eruption, after the big eruption of Merapi in 2010 ago. This incident is normal in an active volcano.

Head of Research and Development Center for Geological Disaster Technology (BPPTKG), Yogyakarta Hanik Humaida said the eruption was caused by the accumulation of gas. Inside the crater there is a gas activity that evaporates but hampered eruption material 2010 ago. So that accumulated gas is then pushed upward until a freaktific eruption followed by steam and vukanik dust is pushed upward.

"The accumulation of gas and water vapor then produces gas and remove the white vapor and ash earlier," he explained.

This incident is a common occurrence. Only in the eruption this morning there was no sign at all. In seismograph tools there are also no significant signs or increases.

Hanik also denied this incident due to heavy rain at the peak of Merapi as the information that beredaar in society. Because at the top already leih than 10 days there is no rain.

"This is because of the accumulation of gas, no rain or hot clouds," he explained.

Currently the condition of Mount Merapi has also returned to normal. Almost in the seismograph tool there is also no significant movement.

"People do not panic. But our recommendation do not have activity 2 km from the top, "he said.
