The Right To Criticize

I heard a conversation yesterday evening that nearly got me upset. I thought better of it and calm down just to listen, and at the end of it all because I was calm, a thought came to me and that is: The only person in my life that has the right to criticize me is that person who truly has the heart to help me. At this point, the conversation created a different meaning and impact on my life. However, this morning as I thought of it, I asked myself, what caused the difference in the way I perspective it?
