If you like life in the slow lane then, Los Angeles will bring you to a snail crawl (especially when it comes to LA traffic). Los Angeles is a city that showcases the rich/famous, the beach bum and everyone else in between. It is also a city filled with restaurants to be seen in, paparazzis to dodge and movie sets to explore.
The City of Angeles is located in Southern California. It stretches from the Pacific Coast to the mountains of South Central California. The six major cities that reside within a hundred miles of LA are: Santa Barbara, San Diego, Palm Springs and Tijuana, Mexico.
Los Angeles is the second most populous city in America (New York City plays the lead role). The city is a potluck of nationalities, and the largest ethnic group to migrate to Los Angeles and the surrounding area are people of Latino/Hispanic ancestry.
La La land is also known as the epicenter for the film and television industry (so bring your Headshots accompanied by hope, luck and some talent and wait to be discovered). The major film and television companies are headquartered in Los Angeles.
The weather in Los Angeles is near perfect. The Subtropical ─ Mediterranean climate of LA allows for the summers to be warm and dry (with humidity feeling as if it is non ─existent its great weather for all the girls and boys with kinky ─ curly hair). The average temperature during the summer months reaches in the low to mid ─eighties Fahrenheit. The winters are mild with temperatures averaging near seventy ─ degrees Fahrenheit to low fifties at night.
Public transportation is available to explore the city; however the best way to venture Los Angeles is by car (be prepared for traffic to creep the same way Main Street is slowly creeping out of the 2007 recession). Navigating the city by car is usually less time consuming than commuting by Los Angeles public transportation system, also rail service is not extensive (www.ladottransit.com & www.metro.net) .
