#Ulog No. 6: A LESSON FROM AN UNKNOWN PLANT

in esteem •  7 years ago

We were walking in our neighborhood after it rained. And I saw this beautiful plant with a red grape-like flower. I call it a flower, but I am really uncertain if it can be called one!

This is the first time I saw this plant. And it intrigued me. So I snap a picture, hoping that somebody can tell me its name. Do you know what this amazing plant is?

I have always thought that a plant is more beautiful with flowers. Though a plant is a beauty in itself, but flowers smiling at you always and always add to its attractiveness. But I guess I am wrong when I saw this "red grapes"! It is immensely charming!

And the dripping water droplets simply increases the refreshing loveliness of this unknown plant.

I'm so glad we walked after the rain, with my kiddo in his bike. If we did not, for sure I would miss out the beauty of this plant. We pass by this street almost everyday of our lives. But then there's a lot difference with walking and driving. I realized that we need to walk, to have time to 'stop and smell the roses,' to enjoy a slow-paced life once in a while.

Sometimes lessons in life are learned from the beauty of creation. And I'm grateful that this beautiful plant reminded me of this.

I will forever be thankful that Jehovah God created us to appreciate beauty, that we have eyes for beauty and that we enjoy it!

quote
"Nothing replaces seeing for oneself, touching, smelling and listening to living animals and plants with all the forces of nature acting upon them. Let the beauty sink in. ... Wherever one may be, first look, enjoy and look again."--John Barrett

Today I have learned that I need to stoop down and take a closer look. By stopping to see, to gaze, and to wonder, I was reminded of the One "who has created these things."--Isaiah 40:26.

Nice photography and the fruits looks like red grapes.

The water drops on those fruits makes them look even more beautiful.

Thanks for sharing.

Wow ganda nga kulay parang matamis..

Where is this post about esteem from @melinda010100, any idea how long ago? I'm intrigued : )

Plant wise... is it a tree?
The leaf looks like a tuckeroo tree. They get berries but I've not seen them as bright as this, so maybe another plant from the same family??
