The world have turned into a crazy place where adults are beginning to unconsciously loose sanity, the rate of abuse is becoming alarming and we just have to be careful.
Few weeks ago, I came across a post on Facebook where the writer was really bittered as he spoke of the issue of Child molestation, focusing on Child-Sexual Abuse and Pedophilia.

Pedophilia is considered a paraphilia, a condition in which a person's sexual arousal and gratification depend on fantasizing about and engaging in sexual behavior that is atypical and extreme. Pedophilia is defined as the fantasy or act of sexual activity with children who are generally age 13 years or younger. Pedophiles are usually men and can be attracted to either or both sexes. These are two different but closely related things, they occur in our immediate environment and the society and thus, an eye opener to parents and guardians.
It is no news that child molestation and sexual abuse is becoming a global issue as cases of this are being reported at regularly basis.

But how can a Sane Man find a child, especially a little child sexually attractive? Now this is an eyesore. Funny as it may sound, it's now cases trending all over the world.
It's not just about Men molesting Female babies and young girls, there are cases of Female adults abusing the male child too.

Let me shock you!!!, I recently saw a video where a handsome 6 months old, male-baby (or thereabout) was being sexed by an adult guy, from the anus*.. Gosh!!!.
Now what will be of that baby when growing or grown up?...

This affects the child psychologically, emotionally and physiologically.
At tender ages, they will develop problems resulting from the inability to cope with issues related to child sexual abuse. Because they know their molesters, they are forced to stay loyal to them, telling someone about the abuse becomes terrifying as the child constantly live in fear.

This in turn put them in fear of being shamed or judged. They feel unloved, worthless, rejected and they may even lack trust in adults.
They become violent, break-up with family, have an abnormal view of sex, loose their self-esteem.

• Delinquency/conduct problems.

Recent Study has shown that, these Pedophiles are around us, they could be neighbours, friends, maids and even family members.

Our present Society have made everyone so busy with trying to make a living and thereby putting kids in constant danger exposing them to those predators called pedophiles. The parents of these days are so busy with work and other activities making them so careless about their kids.
Putting the children under the care of one nanny, neighbour or relative, even their aunties both in school or religious organizations.

Now how well do you know these people, anyone can be a child molester, so identifying one can be difficult especially because most child molesters are initially trusted by the children they abuse.

A child molester often show more interests in children and their activities than with adults. They sometime engage in jobs that keeps them around kids, like coaching, teaching, baby sitting...
They claim to like kids and behave like them, trying to make them comfortable around them.

The molesters use things that attract kids like games and activities. They talk them into keeping secrets. Expose them to pornographic materials, bribery, flattery, sexual affection and love.

Preventive Measures

Parents should look out for funny behaviours of whoever carries their babies, must avoid adults being alone with their babies constantly putting them under check.
Check for changes in the body of the child. Most times avoid male baby sitters.
Parents should constantly supervise their child's extracurricular activities. Being as involved as possible in your child's life is the best way to guard them by showing up at games, practices and rehearsals, and field trips.
Telling children that if someone tries to touch their body and do things that make them feel funny, they should say NO to that person and tell them right away.

Our kids needs more attention than we think.
In cases of suspected Pedophiles, see that such person is kept in his right place by contacting necessary authority..
