Guava semarang or cashew water semarang (Syzygium samarangense) is a plant in the tribe or Myrtaceae tribe originating from Indonesia and Malaysia. The trees and cashew fruit are not much different from the water cashew (S. aqueum), some cultivars are even difficult to distinguish, so both are often named by the common name of guava water or cashew.
Other names are rose water (Malaysia), jambu lilin, jambu cincalo, guava camplong (Ind.), Cashew klampok (Jw.), Chomphu kaemmaem (Thai), makopa (Fil.), Java apple, wax apple, water apple (Ingg.) and others.

Usability
Guava water semarang as a fruit table
Guava semarang, as well as cashew water and cashew boll usually served as a fruit table. These three types of cashews have more or less similar and interchangeable uses. These fruits are generally eaten fresh, or served as one of rujak ingredients. Various types of guava can also be set up or made pickled.
Its hard and reddish wood is good enough to be used as a building material, provided it does not hit the ground.
Because sweet, cashew fruit is often attacked by larvae (larvae) fruit fly. Fly eggs and caterpillars are commonly found in fruits that are not securely closed during the tree.
Origin and deployment
The origin of this fruit tree is not known with certainty, but many good cultivars come from Java, both from West Java, Central, and East. Now various cultivars of jambu semarang have been developed and planted widely in various regions of the world, including in India, Bangladesh, Southeast Asia, the Republic of China and the islands of the Pacific Ocean; also in Central and South America.
