Meanwhile, Can you check Steemion please? Its also great and specialy I loved the UI of it. If you can take some things from it that would be awesome.

For weird reason, Steemion is not loading any content today. So I will put what I can remember.
Yep, material design.
It shows type of fish based on user's steem power. For example, for me it shows 'salmon', for you it shows 'shark' with little fish icon by side.
Imo Steemion's color combination is more eye catching. (you can check on google play link below).
On right sidebar (or whatever it's called) it shows popular topics / tags based on steem power . I think this would help users to decide tags for their stories and they would be easily able to navigate through topics interested.

I like color of our SteemFest app which is similar to what Steemion uses. I was thinking about coloring aspect a lot lately which is one of the first requirements or catchy part of material design. Right now eSteem has tag search, but was thinking to have list of tags by default. Will add it to github so I can track this. Thanks for input and suggestions ;)

To think that this post is barely scraping by 65$ is remarkable really when 6 months ago you wouldn't have found content like this on Steemit without rewards of at least 500$

There is definitely a much smoother experience as compared to the previous version. Personally i am in the same opinion with Steemit dev team that mobile apps will be the main interface to the internet as compared to laptop. and so with eSteem's case. I wont be surprised to see the day mobile users surpass web users.
Good job and I cant show you my appreciation enough for creating an app that solves my problem (need for mobile).
