I heard that some of the proceeds of transaction made through eSteem go to the developers which they very much deserve! I'm just concerned though, will this be forever or will it become truly decentralized in future with all rewards being split between the users?

It does have, there is Card view and Compact view, Card view shows images. Although there is small bug when nsfw is disabled from Settings page, it is not showing images for some devices. We have fixed it, next release will come with this fix soon ;)

Can I suggest the following improvement:
It would be very helpful to see tags as in the website. Clicking on these would activate a filter.
It would also be nice if you can add filters by these tags. For example you could add a filter tag 'cryptocurrency' and then see the tagged posts. This should be storable. So i can define my fields of intetests and see these posts.

You can do this currently from top right menu Search by Tags and select any tag from there, you can then have possibility to filter posts for trending, hot, new, etc. that tag... Let me know if you could find it

one can update his/her profile pic directly from his/her mobile phone as against the traditional url method of uploading profile pic.

App works great! Although I have noticed there is a considerable lag between what is in the markdown editor and what is displayed after I edit comments! Have tried this on different WiFi connections and 4G, doesn't seem to cut down on the delay.

I didn't realize that it was the prize he won until it was too late. You might want to put 10 SBD WON! or 10 SBD PRIZE
It makes it look like out of all the posts @fathin-shihab did through the eSteem App, his account only earned 10 SBD for all his posting effort from all his upvotes he got.
