Today l came to eSteem and was pleasantly surprised to see the Slider. I hope this is not a glitch because on Steemit I still have not enough Steem Power to get a slider. I tried to move it to 1% and make upvote - it works! It turns out that now I can give more upvotes without losing all my voting power.
Tell me my friend @good-karma that this is not a glitch, but a step towards the minnows.

But I am not understanding why my other comments and posts didn't get the auto votes.They were as genuine as it can be! I'm no longer lazy and consistently log in, and even comment/reply, on the app; mostly this is due to my growing Steemit addiction. Used the slider for changing voter percent. Really cool mate! It did cause the app to crash when I hit the up vote button. But, it did work so good stuff man! Keep up the good work and Steem on!

Not a stupid question at all. You have the ability to use 100% (weight) of your voting power per upvote. If you have over 500 SP on steemit, they automatically give you a sliding bar on your upvote tab to set what % (weight) of your voting power you want to use. However, if you use, esteem you can preset your percentage you want to use beforehand, no matter how much SP you have. The less % you use, the more votes you can have, but they will have proportionally less $ to be given. Does this make sense?

It is gonna take ages for me to get to 500SP. I was so much more engaged in the site 2 days ago. I wish they could of changed this for minnows with the hard fork, today has been so slow and my voting power I feel is never coming back. That's certainly an advantage and a reason to be using the app for consuming content on the platform as 10 votes per day don't feel enough. You get error message if after changing you cannot vote, but usually you are able to vote after changing voting up until certain weight. On Steemit, yes site has extra layer of rate checking, eSteem doesn't have that, change weight and try to vote, if you get error message (which is coming from blockchain) then adjust it higher, etc.

It will correct itself soon enough... I suppose, we will see more users reaching bandwidth limit if they continue to vote 100% like before. It will take probably around 150 votes now to reach lowest level on voting power and would take few days until fully recharged, so we will get equilibrium :)

People with very loyal followers will keep making more money and those who were the third or fifth choice to get an up-vote might see themselves earning less I guess. I'm still excited to see what will happen. Also, do you have any info about what happened to 100% upvotes before the HF? Did they adjust to become 4x more worthy?

Yeah, but I am talking about another thing. You know how 100 percent vote only took 0.5 percent of you voting power. I am wondering what happened to those 100 percent votes before HF19, did they adjust to become 25 percent votes or did they remain 100 percent votes, meaning that people won some free voting power?
Edit: because if the second scenario happened it means that the reward pool is 4x bigger at this very moment.

Edited for simpler answer: When you cast a vote, you already use your voting power and regeneration starts. So those votes which was cast (100%) before HF adjusted to current 400%. Reward pool afaik shouldn't change.
