The Faisalabad Clock Tower is in the center of the old city of Faisalabad,Punjab, Pakistan and is also the oldest monument that still stands in its original state. It was built in 19th century in the British Raj when British ruled the most of South East Asia.
British lieutenant governor of Punjab that time Sir Charles Riwaz laid it's foundation on 14th November 1903 along with a local landlord of that time. Tower still looks amazing with all those lights on it and the architecture that is historical. Tower is placed in the center of eight markets which look like the famous Union Jack flag of the UK creating a bird's eye view.
Eight markets have different specialties giving you everything exclusively and in a lot of choices. All Markets open towards a different direction and are named exactly after the place these open at. Rail Bazaar and Karkhana Bazaar are considered the hubs for a business over billions each day. Faisalabad is famous for its cotton and garments exports to the whole world. Other 6 bazaars are Kutchery Bazaar, Montgomery Bazaar, Bhuwana Bazaar, Aminpur Bazaar, Chiniot Bazaar and Jhang Bazaar.
A landmark for the city that is now the third most populous city of Pakistan after Karachi and Lahore. A must visit place for tourists and shoppers or a place that we visit when we crave for a good dessert, icecream or I I have to repair my phone lol
