Two students of Satya Wacana Christian University (UKSW) Salatiga were drowned in Pragakan waterfall of Dusun Gedong Desa Tajuk, Getasan Sub-district, Semarang District. The two victims were Marcel Stevani Sumarmo (19) and Yulian Adiansyah (19).
The information collected by KRJOGJA.com, Sunday (8/7/2018), mentions this incident happened Saturday, July 7, 2018, evening in Pragakan waterfall natural tourism, located in Gedong Hamlet Village of Getuk Sub-district Tajuk. Both victims along with some friends including young people of Hamlet Gedong curious about the attraction of the waterfall.
The victim and his friend at around 13.00 are near the waterfall when it has been prohibited other people do not play in the area, but they are desperate. This incident, starting when one of the victims socks, Yulian released and entered the pool waterfall.
Yulian tried to retrieve, but her body entered the pool and drowned. Meanwhile, the second victim Marcel immediately remove clothes and plunge himself to help Yulian. However, he also drowned in the pool.
A victim friend, Daniel (19) tried to take the wood to help the victim, but it did not work and they asked for the help of the citizens and this incident was reported to the Getasan Police. The night after the incident at around 21:30 pm, the two victims drowned successfully evacuated and taken to the RSUD Salatiga.
Kapasanek Getasan, AKP Masrurun accompanied by Head of Police Public Relations of Semarang AKP Teguh Susilo contacted on Sunday (8/7/2018) night, confirmed this event. "This disaster and the two victims after successfully evacuated to the RSUD Salatiga," he said.
