Self empowerment(Bead making)

in esteem •  7 years ago  (edited)

We all complain about unemployment as youth, after spending several years in school and then coming to the outside world and not being able to get a job can be frustrating. But then why are we really stressing on getting employed when we can create employments for ourselves. I learnt a lot from my sister but one thing i really learnt from her was "Independency". We all want to he country to do things for us. We want the country to provide jobs for us, provide safety, provide social amenities but have we really thought about what WE can do for the country.
I am using this means to open our eyes to the fact that if we put all put trust in expecting help from the nation, then we would not grow. My sister personally was encouraged to be independent and then she dedicated her time to BEADMAKING. First I saw it as a joke but over time she began to grow until she became a master in it all by her self and help from internet(youtube). Now I want us to change out mentality from expecting the country to do something for us,and begin to think about what we can do for the country. Here is a picture of my sister latest bead making work. ![image]
