Ulog: A Visit to Multan

Dear steemians, traveling is a nice way to enjoy your time. Beside enjoyment you learn a lot about different culture during traveling. I travel around my homeland whenever i find some time. In today's #Ulog I would like to tell you about my visit to Multan.

It was the sunny morning of 04th August when i started my journey for Multan.Although it's not wise to visit hot places in summer days but due to time limitation I selected Multan which is about 100 miles away from my place.My friends if you are not aware about this place. This place is famous for it's hotness. Overall Multan is famour for four things which is well described in Persian.

If we translate it in English. There are four gifts of Multan
Gard (Dust)
Garma (Hot season/summer)
Gada (Beggar)
Goristan(Graveyard of Saints)

So let's start our journey with shrines of sufi saints.

Entrance Gate of Shrine area. There are two shrines of Sufi saints
Hazrat Baha-ud-Din Zikriya Multani (R.A)
Hazrat Shah Rukan-e-Alama (R.A)

These respected Sufi saints earned a lot of respect due to their spirituality and their love with people.

From the court yard of the shrine.The structure of Shrine is made of Tughliq architecture.Many people come here to offer "Fatiha" in the shrine of both sufi saints. Sufi saints spreaded the message of peace and love. We need this type of message to make this world peaceful.

Pegions love peaceful place. So you will find a lot of pegions in the shrine area.

People who came here for "DUA" also love to feed these pegions.

The person in the middle is selling pegions feed.

The architect of other shrine is identical. People from all countries come here to offer "DUA".
There are many shops and stalls available outside shrines where people do shopping for their loved ones. Yummy food is also available to eat

This dish is women first choice. "Gol Gappy". Round shaped filled with chickpeas, potatos, onion & with sour Tamarind water.
If you are decoration piece lover and wants to get some decoration piece which remember you your visist. There is shop in nearby. Check out few pieces

How it looks?
Now here comes the Multan most famous dish. Name "Sohan Halwa". It's a special type of sweet which is also recognization of Multan World wide. People love to eat Sohan halwa and often present them to their loved ones

There is a big bazar near to shrine named "Hussain Agahi Bazar". It's a big market and mostly rushy due to variety of items that market offered to the customers. It is consider to be cheapest bazar due to economical price. when I entered the market I saw an interesting view. Group of people were holding a big multi color beautiful sheet and in the back ground few people hold big pots in their head and few of them were dancing in the beat of drum. Amazing scene.
